Del Mar Race Track Engagement Session

What a fun place for engagement pictures!!! Well assuming you are okay being on display :) Luckily Kristin and John not shy at all and totally rocked taking pictures at the track on opening day!

They look the part and got some incredible pictures. Thanks to Katie with Swoon by Katie the day was captured perfectly. This couple is so fun and loves some spunk in life, which is why we are so excited to plan their August 2014 Rancho Valencia wedding!

Why Is Texas Always Bigger and Better!?

We are suckers for anything and everything country! Not only are the men sexy, the music is good, and the food is delicious...but their parties are so much fun! Don't ya'll agree?

When Alexis and Mark approached us about throwing their going away party as they were moving to Texas, we jumped on the project and urged for a "Country Theme". They were excited and gave us general guidelines, then let us run with it. This event was such a fun project to work on.

Their backyard was out of a dream and their flexibility to trust our vision was freeing and just down right fun! We brought in cognac, blue, brown and orange color scheme. Rented vintage leather and country-inspired furniture really helped bring the whole look together. For food and drink we wanted to tie in San Diego and Texas, representing everything they have and will be. So we set up West-Eats-Meat "Ode to a Texas BBQ" and Fish-Meets-Field "California Farm to Table" stations...not to mention specialty cocktails!

For entertainment, guests never had a dull moment. Between the drinks :), a photo booth, live music, a ridiculous DJ, lounge areas and YES, a mechanical bull, people were in heaven! The party was a hit.  They did not disappoint any Texan out there, as they celebrated in style!

Kimberly and James Tie the Knot at Santa Luz Country Club!

Have you ever seen a bride smile SO much!? We have not! Kimberly may be one of the sweetest and happiest people we have ever met. The joy and emotion of the day was so evident in both of their faces! Kimberly and James got married on May 18th at the always stunning Santa Luz Country Club. The Club still stands to us as one of San Diego's best kept wedding secrets. The venue is absolutely breathtaking and provides so much value.

Kimberly wanted to tie in the rustic and shabby chic vibe she had always fallen in love with.  We had custom made signs from Something Promised that really added that special touch. Fun fact - Kimberly and James's parents both got married on May 18, so the 3 couples shared one really special day together. We made a sign collage that showed all the guests the special day connection.  The best part about it is they will deconstruct it and give the wooden pieces with the date and image to each parent as a gift.

It was a day filled with SO much laughter and joy. We are so thrilled for the two of them and wish them only the best. Thank you for letting us be a part of this stunning event!

Viva La Mexico - Cabo San Lucas Wedding

Here is a teaser of the amazing Cabo San Lucas wedding we were lucky to be a part of in May! Gabriella and Jason had their dream wedding at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach as they were surrounded by sunshine, a ton of celebrating and 70 of their closest friends and family.

Shoe Obsession!

I am shoe obsessed right now! The problem with being in a shoe phase is a few pairs can add up quick! Why do us women love shoes so much? I think it is because a good pair can take a plain and maybe even boring outfit to a "wow" outfit! Gotta love shoes!!

Natalie and Mitch's Wedding Video- Santa Luz Country Club

We love with this couple, this wedding and this video. Dan over at Medici Films holds a special place in our hearts. He takes his work SO seriously and pours so much passion into each and every video. He spends hours on end making them perfect!

Surprise Engagement over the 4th of July

We are sorry we have been away so long! The last month or so has been very busy for us. Good busy but busy! We miss you all and promise to return again to our blogging!

So... over the 4th of July we were lucky enough to plan a family's 1st Annual Family Reunion that fell over the 4th of July. On the 4th they invited both family and friends and we threw one big beach bash at their beach home on the cliffs of Leucadia.

Just when you thought the event had hit the "holy cow this is cool" meter, a curve ball was thrown into the mix.  We found out that night that one of the guests was going to propose to his girlfriend...so cool, right?! We were so excited! Ellie and Matt had gone for a walk on the beach and we knew when they came back Matt would lead Ellie to a table on the deck over looking the water and pop the question! Even though we knew it was going down it happened so fast and before we knew it Matt was down on one knee and Ellie said YES!
