Wedding Wednesday: Haley and Jeff’s Romantic Garden Inspired Wedding

Not gonna lie... we love a good garden wedding as well as a completely in love couple. Haley and Jeff’s wedding was all about that. They said their I do’s at the beautiful Santaluz Club surrounded by the stunning greens alongside their closest friends and family members. We designed a touch-of-elegance with a laid back vibe. We incorporated green vines and garlands displayed with clean and simplistic lines. Every inch had dreamy details and loads of natural elements that were so charming and truly heartwarming. The oversized chandelier lush in greens provided the perfect focal point created by Organic Elements with structured greens, beautifully placed blooms, and hanging candlelight centered in the all white tent. 

We just adore Haley and Jeff. The two of them definitely know how to celebrate in style from their gingham pocket squares, personalized tie pins, to their glowing grins from ear to ear. They were simply SO happy to be married and everyone around them celebrated in their love. This beautiful couple and romantic wedding with a garden twist is so easy to fall in love with. Wedding Wednesday: Lauren & Anthony’s Elegant Beachside Wedding

This couple and wedding make us happy. Very, very happy. They are the kind of couple that light up an entire room.... their raw love literally radiates to everyone around them. You feel it, a true and pure love. They compliment each other perfectly and together they somehow naturally put a smile on everyone's face around them. Not only is Lauren is one of the sweetest girls ever but then there’s Anthony who’s not only funny but hilarious. We absolutely loved every second of planning their big day, our heart bursts with a thankful kind of love. Over the 4 month planning process we all developed a wonderful and lasting friendship with one another.

We took Scripps Seaside Forum which is an ultra modern beachside venue and put an overall romantic twist on it. We added soft romantic touches throughout the modern space by wrapping it in white drapery and textured linens,  using real coral pieces and seashells for a subtle beachy undertone, and displayed fun yet useful beach lounging sets for a little comfort along side the dance floor.All guests thoroughly enjoyed taking in the coastal beauty while listening to live music that was absolutely fitting from the sought out performer Michael Tiernan from Still Listening Productions.   The lovely transition of soft to vibrant blooms by Isari Floral Studio was nothing short of stunning, as always.

A few of our favorite personal touches that we brought to life would be the wood planks that lined the aisle with the things they love about each other, to the vibrant purple hues (Lauren's favorite color), to their Parisian-inspired dessert table (they love Paris), and to their incredibly fun grand entrance (Anthony is a HUGE basketball fan to say the least).

What an incredible day. We loved how it turned out, and we are so thankful to the rockstar team of vendors that helped us make it happen.  A huge thank you to Carmen Santorelli for snapping it all up all so beautifully... we can’t get enough of it. Wedding Wednesday: Courtney and Jake at Estancia La Jolla

Ummm... have you ever seen a more beautiful couple!? The pictures of the two of them totally take our breath away. We had the pleasure of meeting Courtney a year before her wedding and quickly fell in love with her sweet spirit. We planned an April wedding and most of the time here in San Diego rain is NOT an issue but on this particular day they have the "lucky sign" of rain. As all current and past brides know this can cause a ton of worry and stress as plans have to change.  We could not have been more impressed with Courtney and Jake's attitude through the whole thing. She was so mature and just took the changes in stride. 

The wedding was at Estancia La Jolla and becuase of the rain the ceremony was held inside. In my opinion it turned out even better then we had originally planned. Annette worked her magic and totally transformed the room with candle light, adding a romantic glow and feeling to the whole room. It was so unique and personal!

From there guests were wined and dined at the cocktail hour with the best of appetizers and wine. Following that hour people were "wowed" when they walked into the reception space. It was stunning.  We had a taupe and white checkered dance floor, a mix of long and round tables, high and low arrangements, personalized/embroidered hemstitch napkins, stunning floral and a band set up that was stunning! The night was a total hit and the 300 + crowd was dancing all night long.

Our Interns: Meet Cassidy and Nichole!

We can not say more thankful and amazing words about our team of interns! We really would not be the strong unit that we are without their dedication and support on each and every event. We love and appreciate them more then words can describe. I want to formally introduce our longest running interns of 2014!  How fun are they!?

Meet Cassidy:

Born in Australia, raised in Northern California, currently living the dream in San Diego. Cassidy moved here for college and just finished at San Diego State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies. Although kids will always have her heart, she has found a special knack for event planning.  Since she was a little girl Cassidy has had a passion for making others peoples day brighter and she loves being able to do that with Before I Do Events. “It is such a privilege to be able to be a part of one of the most memorable and exciting days of a couples life. This internship is all about helping celebrate love and new adventures in people’s lives and there is nothing I enjoy more than that”!

Meet Nichole:

Born in California, raised in Washington state, and now back in California as it was her first love she is currently living in San Diego. Nichole adores her family with all her heart. She loves spending time with her three adorable little nieces Chicka, Nuggie, and fries - they are her little happy meal. Throughout this internship Nichole has found a love and passion for the events industry. She loves the beauty of it all but she has  surprisingly also discovered her love for logistics. She loves solving problems, getting it done, and accomplishing anything thrown her way. Needing to be in 12 places at once, the numerous time crunches throughout the day, Nichole's answer is always... BRING IT ON! She loves seeing the orchestration first hand and loves seeing all the beautiful events come together from start to finish. Nichole really enjoys spending her California days outside the office and away from the desk by attending fun meetings with all our clients as well as taking beautiful venue tours in the sun. She is a wonderful right hand woman and an assistant that can do it all.

Long Overdue: Alicia Strom

This post is LONG over due. I want to formally introduce Alicia my partner at Before I Do. I have been so very fortunate to have known Alicia over the past few years. She first came on our team as an intern and very quickly we fell in love with her work ethic and zest for life. We worked her hard and she kept asking for more, that was when we knew she was a keeper. She quickly grew with the company and even better we grew in our friendship. When Tammi phased out of the wedding side of what we do, I knew in my heart, Alicia was the perfect person to step into the role. I am so blessed to call her my partner. She is the kindest and most authentic person I know.  I can promise that each and every bride/groom that has worked with her would undoubtedly agree with my statement.

Raised in Minnesota, Alicia's found appreciation for the San Diego sunshine and life's exciting adventures is apparent from the moment you meet her. Always inspired by her surroundings, she is quick to pick up on the little details that make each couple and celebration distinct. This ability to exist in the moment combined with an all-around enthusiasm for life, love and beauty makes her a joy to work with. And, as many a bride and groom can testify, she's been known to make a friend - or ten - in the process. Her extreme attention to detail, creative style and poise has become priceless to our events.

Day 3: Mexican Fiesta - 4th of July Bash

Cheers to the last day of our amazing 4 day Family Reunion! The Mexican Fiesta went off as a huge success. People loved the food, vibe and atmosphere. It helps that the weather was picture perfect too!

Take a peek at our set up for this day! We did not have a professional photographer to document the beauty, so we did our best to capture the true look of the day. Whenever we try and do pictures ourselves it makes us appreciate professionals even more! :)

Thanks to Tam at Isari the florals were INSANE! Ugh we could just eat them all up. The color, texture and vibrance was exactly what our vision was for the day.

Day 2: A Traditional 4th of July Bash

Happy Sunny Tuesday! This post is the perfect one to wake you up this morning and kick start your day! Our 4th of July event was so full of color and happiness. We went with traditional elements in the decor and had the menu of the day to follow suit. Thanks so much to Tam at Isari Floral, the colors in the floral were perfection.

My favorite part of the set up was the beach. We brought in these amazing wooden cabana's from Farm Tables and More. We had white day beds under them with a collection of pillows, ferns, games and fully stocked baskets with any beach necessity you could imagine. It also helps when tray passed servers are greeting you with cocktails and apps. Guests truly had the 5 star hotel experience but with the comfort and ease of home!
