A perfect way to SLOW DOWN time on your big day!
It’s official: we are completely and totally obsessed with slow motion video booths!
They went viral a while back but are now the new trend for weddings and events and we can say from experience - THEY ARE AWESOME!
We know everyone loves taking home the photo strips as souvenirs but these slow mo video booths add a whole new dynamic element of humor and allow guests to get way more creative. It is such a cool way to capture everyone's personality... and the fun and frivolity!
Us girls at Before I Do Events first came across this trend in April at a party hosted by Tap Productions and we would be lying if we said we didn’t spend a majority of our night behind that camera. :) It was just TOO MUCH FUN (facial expressions you never knew you had tend to come out)! Check out our video below to see what this new craze is all about!
Enjoy! :)

Soaking up their Love: Haley and Jeff's Engagement Shoot in Mammoth
As much as we are all excited to welcome summer to the beautiful beaches of San Diego, we still can’t get over this winter engagement photo shoot in the snow. Our sweet couple Haley and Jeff had their engagement photos taken in beautiful Mammoth by the talented SheWanders.
Haley and Jeff absolutely loved working with SheWanders! Haley stated that her, “favorite part of the shoot was definitely Suzanne & Mike - they were AMAZING! They made us feel so comfortable and natural in front of the camera...we felt we could really be ourselves and enjoy the moment. The landscape was stunning and when the sun set behind the mountain, it was so beautiful it literally gave us the chills”.
We are so excited to celebrate Haley and Jeff and the undeniable love that illuminates between the both of them. I think we can all agree that these pictures are simply amazing and you can see the happiness radiating from each other!!! It has been so much fun working with them because of how sweet, fun, stylish, and genuine they are. We feel so honored to be able to be a part of their big day coming up in June and we can't wait to reveal all the fun little details we've been working on with them! Think romance, garden inspired, organic greenery, vines and garlands with clean and simplistic lines. Lots of beauty to come not to mention we know Haley is going to make one of the most beautiful brides.
Words from the Bride to be, “the entire wedding process has been incredibly fun - we keep pinching ourselves that our turn is next and how lucky we were to find each other. To be able to share that love with our family and friends and hopefully throw an awesome party is like icing on the cake!”
Stay tuned to see more of their beautiful love story unfold! Their wedding date is just around the corner: June 28th, 2014!!!
True Foods: Farm to Table Inspiration Shoot
It has been so much fun seeing the images and reflecting on the fun we had working on our Farm to Table - True Foods inspiration shoot. We collaborated with the AMAZING Sharon from Organic Elements to showcase a Rehearsal Dinner. We instantly fell in love with the vibe at True Food Kitchen and wanted to stay true to the location which is all about organic, healthy, and happy living!
We played off the organic and natural elements that TFK has to offer. We used their wood tables and benches, potted plants, and chicken wire baskets filled with colorful vegetables throughout. We placed a vintage floor rug, muted patterned pillows, and a cozy earthy throw to soften the wood elements. The table top was full of texture, from clusters of oriental hon-shimeji mushrooms (they are aesthetically amazing), organic garden alfalfa sprouts and seeds were tucked subtly within the beautiful blooms and place settings. We glammed up the space by throwing in a few hints of vintage and sophisticated garden inspired accents including some of my favorite blush goblets and vintage white lace china. Not to mention stunning garden roses, and cut glass decanters.
We had so much fun blending the overall organic feel with lots of romance and the warmth of a good ol fashioned meal! A rehearsal dinner’s foundation is full of love and a time for people to share true quality time together so it only felt natural to incorporate romantic and warm touches throughout the overall feel of the space.

A Perfect Glimpse of Pure Joy: Anthony and Lauren
We are so thrilled to share these sweet, sweet moments of Lauren and Anthony’s engagement photos that were captured by the wonderful Carmen Santorelli. We just love the emotion Carmen captured in their photos, they could be on the cover of The Notebook! There’s nothing better than puppies, a beach, and a couple in love.
There is so much genuine joy and love that flows from this amazing couple and we have absolutely loved every second of planning their big day with them! Lauren is one of the sweetest and most genuinely happy girls we have met and Anthony’s sense of humor is beyond infectious and contagious. Through this whole process they have both truly become so near and dear to our hearts. We are beyond excited for them to share the rest of their lives together.
Lauren once told us that, her and Anthony are the epitome of ‘what’s meant to be will be’. And, it’s so true! It has been an amazing four month planning process were everything has literally just fallen into place perfectly, the way it’s meant to be. They took on the challenge of a short planning process and in no time we locked down their date and their desired beach front venue as all the little details took flight. In no time, with daily communication we developed a wonderful friendship that we are both so thankful for (again, meant to be).
Lauren and Anthony are so in love and they simply couldn’t wait to marry one another with the support of all their friends and family this past Friday, April 11th 2014. Their love was radiant and their joy was shared with everyone present! We can’t wait to share their beautiful wedding with you soon...

Conni and Nick's Rancho Santa Fe Wedding
What a joy it was to plan this wedding! I love the story behind Conni and Nick... Nick has never been married before and has waited longer then most of all his friends to find his bride! Patience is a virtue becuase he found an amazing women in Conni. It was a lot of fun to see the love between them two. It was so real, raw and unique. We are thrilled that they had their dream wedding.
They wanted a very "fall" wedding. One that was cozy, comfortable and fun for their large group! People have been routing and supporting the couple for years now so they were thrilled to celebrate the union. They got married at a small church in Coronado (where they live) the day prior with just family. After the ceremony they took them all on a gondola ride and then treated them to a water front dinner.
The cocktail hour and reception was the next day at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club. The cocktail hour was on the green with amazing food, music and even a "closest to the tee game". The reception was filled with candle light and warmed by the room's rustic nature. Thanks to Ashley Kelemen we are able to share some amazing images with you. The party really started the minute we opened the doors to the "suprise band" - where NRG was playing in the other room. They had the crowd dancing HARD the whole night! It was a total success.
Cheers to you both! xoxo
