Melissa Parsons: San Diego Family Photographer
I am SO in love with Melissa Parsons work. Not only is she very talented but she is the sweetest thing. She will make you and your family feel so comfortable. My husband, who hates to take pictures of himself actually said he had a fun time at the session.
We were fortunate this year to take family photos. We had not gotten professional pictures of MacKenzie since her newborn pics, which we all know does not count as they look like a blob at that point! A cute blob! :)
I was thrilled when we got a handful of great pictures, as our little lady is not a poser for the camera in the slightest! You may not believe me but she is NOT- this just shows how good Melissa is.

Kelle and Jack's Wedding Video- Santa Luz Country Club
Wanna cry? Watch this sweet video from Max and Molly Films!
They did such an incredible job capturing the essence of the day, joy of the moments and love that these two have. I was smiling ear to ear as I watched Jack's reaction when he saw his bride for the first time! It does not get much better then that. He could not contain his smile. I just love watching wedding videos- especially ones like this one...

Great Gatsby Themed Holiday Party
Gotta love a Great Gatsby theme! We are so excited to plan a Corporate Christmas party this December and play around with all the fun elements that Gatsby can bring!
We just finalized and sent the invitation - take a look for yourself! LOVE how it came out. We are so looking forward to keeping this look and feel consistent in the decor of the night. I already have my dress and headpiece as I cant resist not dressing up for this event. Lets just hope this growing belly can fit into it.
Thank you Stauros Creative for the stunning invitation!

Mason Stanley Jewerly
I could NOT be more proud of my dear friend Brooke Taylor! She and her business partner just launched their jewelry line - Mason Stanley. I got the chills looking at the site for the first time and watching their look book video.
They have been hard at work getting this line ready and now it is open for the world to see. I have known Brooke since high school and since way back in the day she was always one step ahead of all of us when it came to fashion. She has a unique eye for design and it is proven here in Mason Stanley's first line.
I already have my wish list item picked out for my "push gift" from Jay. :) Whether it is a wedding gift, anniversary gift, push gift or just a plain ol' splurge - you must take a hard look at these amazing pieces!
You have to watch the short video - do NOT miss out! http://blog.masonstanley.com/

Greek Goddess Inspiration Shoot by Before I Do Events
I have been saving this post for well.... too long! We are going to feature this inspiration shoot because, it is just too fun not to share with the world. Our team had such a blast putting this together back in March. We were inspired by all the beauty that a greek goddess holds put wanted to put a modern coastal twist on it. We stayed away from the traditional cobalt blue, white and gold - instead used a palette of blush, ivory, gold and black!
The backdrop was an ocean front modern world class custom build home with 360 degree views of the La Jolla waters. We used bold fabrics and colors from La Tavola Linens, modern vases but then softened it with the whimsical look of organic and lose floral arrangements. Annette Gomez did her magic once again on each and every floral piece, from the arrangements to the giant olive branch urns.
You will see that same balance of modern and soft throughout the shoot. The chairs are a blend of modern and whimsical with the golden leaves attached to the back. The dessert backdrop shares the goddess charm as well as the modern elegance of clean, straight and organized.
Thanks to the always amazing Campine Catering we were able to present a stunning array of family style Greek cuisine which is so true to their culture. Classic Party Rentals supplied the gold kissed flatware and stemware that really put a finishing touch on the table.
We feel SO blessed to be able to have worked with SUCH a talented group of vendors. Thank you to all! Take a look at the gorgeous shots from Stone Crandall Photography!

Hey Batter Batter- Baseball Themed Baby Shower
A group of us girls just threw a baby shower at my house for a dear friend. Her husband is a major baseball fan so we found it fitting to theme the shower "Hey Batter Batter" for their new son! It was such a special day!
Red, White and Blue and all the favorites from the ball park. We had our husbands on the grill and served a gourmet spread of old fashioned favorites! Place settings were each person's name on a jersey with a coke and cracker jack to compliment. Favors were to go peanuts and baseballs. My favorite was the dessert tray. We made a concession stand with treats and had a friend serve it to all the guests.
The shower was a hit! I am even more pleased to say Cynthia is now holding her brand new son. We are so happy to welcome Jameson into this world!
IF ONLY I COULD TAKE GOOD PICS! :) I REALLY NEED TO TAKE A CLASS!

Del Mar Race Track Engagement Session
What a fun place for engagement pictures!!! Well assuming you are okay being on display :) Luckily Kristin and John not shy at all and totally rocked taking pictures at the track on opening day!
They look the part and got some incredible pictures. Thanks to Katie with Swoon by Katie the day was captured perfectly. This couple is so fun and loves some spunk in life, which is why we are so excited to plan their August 2014 Rancho Valencia wedding!

Why Is Texas Always Bigger and Better!?
We are suckers for anything and everything country! Not only are the men sexy, the music is good, and the food is delicious...but their parties are so much fun! Don't ya'll agree?
When Alexis and Mark approached us about throwing their going away party as they were moving to Texas, we jumped on the project and urged for a "Country Theme". They were excited and gave us general guidelines, then let us run with it. This event was such a fun project to work on.
Their backyard was out of a dream and their flexibility to trust our vision was freeing and just down right fun! We brought in cognac, blue, brown and orange color scheme. Rented vintage leather and country-inspired furniture really helped bring the whole look together. For food and drink we wanted to tie in San Diego and Texas, representing everything they have and will be. So we set up West-Eats-Meat "Ode to a Texas BBQ" and Fish-Meets-Field "California Farm to Table" stations...not to mention specialty cocktails!
For entertainment, guests never had a dull moment. Between the drinks :), a photo booth, live music, a ridiculous DJ, lounge areas and YES, a mechanical bull, people were in heaven! The party was a hit. They did not disappoint any Texan out there, as they celebrated in style!

Kimberly and James Tie the Knot at Santa Luz Country Club!
Have you ever seen a bride smile SO much!? We have not! Kimberly may be one of the sweetest and happiest people we have ever met. The joy and emotion of the day was so evident in both of their faces! Kimberly and James got married on May 18th at the always stunning Santa Luz Country Club. The Club still stands to us as one of San Diego's best kept wedding secrets. The venue is absolutely breathtaking and provides so much value.
Kimberly wanted to tie in the rustic and shabby chic vibe she had always fallen in love with. We had custom made signs from Something Promised that really added that special touch. Fun fact - Kimberly and James's parents both got married on May 18, so the 3 couples shared one really special day together. We made a sign collage that showed all the guests the special day connection. The best part about it is they will deconstruct it and give the wooden pieces with the date and image to each parent as a gift.
It was a day filled with SO much laughter and joy. We are so thrilled for the two of them and wish them only the best. Thank you for letting us be a part of this stunning event!
