Beach Wedding with Friends

Jen and Morti’s stunning wedding was so much fun for us, not only because this couple is SO MUCH FUN, but also because they mean so much to us. We enjoy all the weddings we have the pleasure of working on, but there’s nothing we enjoy more than being able to make the wedding day of our dear friends absolutely perfect!

This wedding was all about the details! From the beautiful location at Levyland in Carlsbad, to the gorgeous sun shining day, to the very personal décor, this day was truly special. The ceremony was sweet and understated, letting the beautiful Pacific Ocean act as the backdrop and this amazing couple’s love shine at center stage.

Personal touches were everywhere including a love story lined walkway leading guests through fresh lavender from the ceremony to the reception! Accents of driftwood and succulents gave the wedding a modern edge, while games like a customized SDSU beanbag toss kept the day fun and casual.

The couple opted for tables named after their favorite musicians and they danced their way into the reception to “Best Day of My Life”, by the American Authors! The individual mini potted succulents were one of our favorite details, acting as both escort card and favor. Guests will watch their succulents grow and be reminded of the love they witnessed between the bride and groom on their special day!

Wedding Wednesday: A Traveling Couple Chooses The Darlington House!

We love La Jolla weddings, even more so when they’re held at the Darlington House. The venue is just SO darling! You can’t beat a garden themed wedding in an actual Rose Garden and such a stunning one at that! Christine and Ryan were so sweet to work with. They are a kind and loving couple that have actually known each other since Kindergarten!

Christine and Ryan’s love of travel and adventure for life played an understated theme throughout their wedding. They displayed subtle travel accents that took on their sense of adventure such as a seating chart map, destination-inspired tables, to their ceremony programs outlining their travels together around the world. Their romantic fete was also filled with unique and special elements collected by Christine’s mother. All the beautiful decor pieces including all the vases and lanterns were hand picked by her mom Dianne. Everything looked beautiful and fit perfectly with the eclectic character of the Darlington House! Behind the scene we flipped the Rose Garden from the ceremony to the reception in under an hour. Thanks to the help of the truly talented Organic Elements team, it was a total success! Christine and Ryan truly had the best day of their lives as they celebrated with their closest friends and family all night!

Wedding Wednesday: Lauren & Anthony’s Elegant Beachside Wedding

This couple and wedding make us happy. Very, very happy. They are the kind of couple that light up an entire room.... their raw love literally radiates to everyone around them. You feel it, a true and pure love. They compliment each other perfectly and together they somehow naturally put a smile on everyone's face around them. Not only is Lauren is one of the sweetest girls ever but then there’s Anthony who’s not only funny but hilarious. We absolutely loved every second of planning their big day, our heart bursts with a thankful kind of love. Over the 4 month planning process we all developed a wonderful and lasting friendship with one another.

We took Scripps Seaside Forum which is an ultra modern beachside venue and put an overall romantic twist on it. We added soft romantic touches throughout the modern space by wrapping it in white drapery and textured linens, using real coral pieces and seashells for a subtle beachy undertone, and displayed fun yet useful beach lounging sets for a little comfort along side the dance floor.All guests thoroughly enjoyed taking in the coastal beauty while listening to live music that was absolutely fitting from the sought out performer Michael Tiernan from Still Listening Productions. The lovely transition of soft to vibrant blooms by Isari Floral Studio was nothing short of stunning, as always.

A few of our favorite personal touches that we brought to life would be the wood planks that lined the aisle with the things they love about each other, to the vibrant purple hues (Lauren's favorite color), to their Parisian-inspired dessert table (they love Paris), and to their incredibly fun grand entrance (Anthony is a HUGE basketball fan to say the least).

What an incredible day. We loved how it turned out, and we are so thankful to the rockstar team of vendors that helped us make it happen. A huge thank you to Carmen Santorelli for snapping it all up all so beautifully... we can’t get enough of it.
