A perfect way to SLOW DOWN time on your big day!
It’s official: we are completely and totally obsessed with slow motion video booths!
They went viral a while back but are now the new trend for weddings and events and we can say from experience - THEY ARE AWESOME!
We know everyone loves taking home the photo strips as souvenirs but these slow mo video booths add a whole new dynamic element of humor and allow guests to get way more creative. It is such a cool way to capture everyone's personality... and the fun and frivolity!
Us girls at Before I Do Events first came across this trend in April at a party hosted by Tap Productions and we would be lying if we said we didn’t spend a majority of our night behind that camera. :) It was just TOO MUCH FUN (facial expressions you never knew you had tend to come out)! Check out our video below to see what this new craze is all about!
Enjoy! :)

Soaking up their Love: Haley and Jeff's Engagement Shoot in Mammoth
As much as we are all excited to welcome summer to the beautiful beaches of San Diego, we still can’t get over this winter engagement photo shoot in the snow. Our sweet couple Haley and Jeff had their engagement photos taken in beautiful Mammoth by the talented SheWanders.
Haley and Jeff absolutely loved working with SheWanders! Haley stated that her, “favorite part of the shoot was definitely Suzanne & Mike - they were AMAZING! They made us feel so comfortable and natural in front of the camera...we felt we could really be ourselves and enjoy the moment. The landscape was stunning and when the sun set behind the mountain, it was so beautiful it literally gave us the chills”.
We are so excited to celebrate Haley and Jeff and the undeniable love that illuminates between the both of them. I think we can all agree that these pictures are simply amazing and you can see the happiness radiating from each other!!! It has been so much fun working with them because of how sweet, fun, stylish, and genuine they are. We feel so honored to be able to be a part of their big day coming up in June and we can't wait to reveal all the fun little details we've been working on with them! Think romance, garden inspired, organic greenery, vines and garlands with clean and simplistic lines. Lots of beauty to come not to mention we know Haley is going to make one of the most beautiful brides.
Words from the Bride to be, “the entire wedding process has been incredibly fun - we keep pinching ourselves that our turn is next and how lucky we were to find each other. To be able to share that love with our family and friends and hopefully throw an awesome party is like icing on the cake!”
Stay tuned to see more of their beautiful love story unfold! Their wedding date is just around the corner: June 28th, 2014!!!
True Foods: Farm to Table Inspiration Shoot
It has been so much fun seeing the images and reflecting on the fun we had working on our Farm to Table - True Foods inspiration shoot. We collaborated with the AMAZING Sharon from Organic Elements to showcase a Rehearsal Dinner. We instantly fell in love with the vibe at True Food Kitchen and wanted to stay true to the location which is all about organic, healthy, and happy living!
We played off the organic and natural elements that TFK has to offer. We used their wood tables and benches, potted plants, and chicken wire baskets filled with colorful vegetables throughout. We placed a vintage floor rug, muted patterned pillows, and a cozy earthy throw to soften the wood elements. The table top was full of texture, from clusters of oriental hon-shimeji mushrooms (they are aesthetically amazing), organic garden alfalfa sprouts and seeds were tucked subtly within the beautiful blooms and place settings. We glammed up the space by throwing in a few hints of vintage and sophisticated garden inspired accents including some of my favorite blush goblets and vintage white lace china. Not to mention stunning garden roses, and cut glass decanters.
We had so much fun blending the overall organic feel with lots of romance and the warmth of a good ol fashioned meal! A rehearsal dinner’s foundation is full of love and a time for people to share true quality time together so it only felt natural to incorporate romantic and warm touches throughout the overall feel of the space.
